Adventure Travel in Costa Rica

Costa Rica was one of the original founders of eco tourism. Because of this, there is no shortage of amazing things to see and do in Costa Rica. No matter what type of adventure travel you are in to, you are sure to find it inside the borders of Costa Rica.

Jungle tours are one of the most popular forms of adventure travel in Costa Rica. A typical jungle tour consists of a half to full days worth of activities. Many of these tours start out with a 4×4 drive through the jungle, followed by some trekking, a few waterfall rappels, and of course zip lines.

Whitewater rafting in Costa Rica is another popular form of adventure travel that can be found here. Costa Rica sports some of the best whitewater rafting in the world. With so many free flowing rivers and great rainfall there are plenty of rivers to choose from. There smaller rapids for the less fearless and hours of big water for those who want to get wet.

If you idea of adventure travel is little more laid back you may want to check out some of the campgrounds in Costa Rica. There are a number of beautiful national parks in Costa Rica that offer camping for just a few dollars a night.
