AL Best of 2006 - Top 5 Adventure Destinations

Happy New Year Logue-sters! To celebrate, here’s a round up of some of the best adventure destinations for adventure travel and adventure tourism that we’ve looked at since AL went online back in September. Enjoy!

5. Post-Commie Adventure on the Cheap: Croatia - Declared “Destination of the Year” by NatGeo Adventure, Croatia has old-world charm emerging into the new world of the 21st century. Oh, and did we mention you can like like a king? Click on the link to my post and let the bootsnall crew share a few tips on how to make the most of it.

4. The Most Dangerous Roads in the World - I had an experience on an Alaska road that rivals the scenes you’ll see from Russia’s Yakutsk Highway. But visually, Bolivia’s “Road of Death” takes the cake.

3. Four Up-and-Coming Adventure Destinations - From Albania to Zimbabwe, with a little Korea and Zanzibar in between.

2. Snow (and Ice) Spot: Ouray, Colorado - It’s all about snow in the Rockies this winter, just ask the folks who spent the holiday season camped out as Denver International Airport or stuck in their car on the back roads of Colorado during the recent blizzards.

1. Oaxaca Update: All Clear? Shhhh!! - We here at AL stayed transfixed on the situation in Southern Mexico while much of the rest of the world barely took notice of the events there, what has emerged is still a great destination for adventuring!

Hi,

My name is Rohit. I am an Indian and regionally born in uttaranchal-The Land of God. But i am raised here in Noida(near New Delhi). I am a Graduate from Birla University and persuaing my Post Graduation in MBA(HR) from IMT Gaziabad. And currently I am working in IGate Global Solutions.

About my hobbies I like Athletics, Fottball, Long Tennis, Pool-Snooker and Music. But one thing that excites me the most is ADVENTURE which is not my blood but in my HEART. I know, you must have heard these lines like thousands of time but one thing i must tell you that I am not best Adventurer that you can ever have because there are lots of champ in this world but I know myself better than anybody else that I know to what extent I can go all along with my courage and zeal to accomplish the task for victory or survival.

When I was 15yrs young I used to go back to home after the sun dawn because i was afraid of the darkness. And then I decided to compete the fear and then i took a walk of 25 Kms from a bus station to my home without informing my parents. And after that day something enlightened then several campaigning, trekking, rafting and other sports in rishikesh, shimla, manali and others were like merely look alike a picnic for me.

I want to see the world and want to explore the world with my eyes.

I always wanted to be a adventurer but just because of Indian tradition and culture I am bounded with my family. And even I have started sving money for this dream so that after 30years from now I will leave everything behind and donate myself for adventure. But my patience has limits and my dream has become uncontrollable for me to hold.

So if you think that I can be helpful for you to generate profit then please let me know because I am also waiting for your reply.

And believe me if you do so then it will be a REBIRTH for me.

Cheers,

Rohit Singh Rana
