24 Hours of Moab

This weekend, a little section of eastern Utah will be the site of a massive viral infection. The Virus is mountain biking, and it only lasts for 24 hours. But in that time, it will push hundreds of people to the edge. Wow, been watching way too much Sci-Fi Channel. Anyway, 24 Hours of Moab is Oct 14 & 15. Here’s the scoop from the race website:

Moab

In eleven years time this race has become one of the single greatest mountain bike races in the history of the sport. For one short weekend, a mountain bike city grows up out of the desert graze-lands as we host more than 5,000 racers, support crews, and spectators in a stunningly beautiful, completely remote venue and then, in two days, it’s gone. This race has drawn record numbers for the last nine years, year after year. Scheduled for October 14th & 15th, 2006, The 24 Hours of Moab, is a world-class event that draws teams from all over the world. There is a field limit of 450 teams plus solos and the race books up faster every year, so get your team entered early. Don’t miss this incredible race!
